The funding provided by the Biomedical Engineering Department and UNC School of Medicine will support her efforts to control the structure of cell derived matrix. Her work will provide deeper understanding into how the assembly of collagen fibers directs cell behavior, and she seeks to apply this insight to inform novel treatments for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
